Halloween Scrapbook Pages for NICU
Back in September when I made THESE cute Teacup Mouse Kisses for the nurses in NICU, one of the nurses asked Kassy (my DIL) if I would be interested in making Halloween scrapbook pages for the doors of each NICU baby's room. I said yes and this turned into making Thanksgiving and Christmas ones as well. :)
The nurses are so good to the families in the NICU where my granddaughter is. On their own, they create scrapbook pages and take pictures of the babies and put them on the outside doors to their rooms. This is just one of MANY things they do to make something "normal"/special for the parents and babies.
I quick took these pics and then headed to see my granddaughter and kids and didn't view the pics first, so they aren't the best quality, but I have some friends who wanted to see what I created. I made 28 pages. If it says "babies", ghost footprints of multiples (twins or triplets) go on those pages and if it says "baby", footprints of one baby.

12 Halloween Loaded Bags
I shared one loaded bag HERE that I made for the nurses in the NICU where my granddaughter has been since her birth. Here are the rest of them that I made. I made these up and took them to the NICU for my DIL to pass out to her favorite nurses as a thank you for all that they have done for my granddaughter and my kids. I have a new and deep appreciation for these nurses and the care that they give to these precious little ones born early.

Teacup Mouse Kisses
Back in September, I made these cute mouse teacup Hershey kiss boxes for a few of the nurses in the NICU where my granddaughter is as a thank you for the great care the nurses have been giving no only her, but Benjamin and Kassy as well. The last Wed in September was NICU Nurse Appreciation Day, so a perfect time to say "thank you".
I was inspired by a card on THIS blog and made it into a Hershey Kiss box.
I used the mouse from THIS cutting file and the teacup from THIS file.Wednesday, October 24, 2018

Halloween Loaded Bag
Welcome back to another Cutting Café bi-monthly challenge. This week's challenge was a "freebie" week, meaning the design team gets to choose any file(s) they want to create with. I chose to use Halloween and Fall Basic Shapes with the ghost to create this loaded Halloween bag. I am in the process of making 13 bags for nurses in the NICU where my granddaughter has been since August 27th.
Each bag has a Halloween themed notepad, fun straw, packet of apple cider mix, wrapped Hershey candy bar, pen or pencil and an altered clothespin with a magnet on the back that can be used on the refrigerator (or wherever they like) to hold notes, photos, etc.
I am making these as a thank you for the great care my granddaughter and kids are receiving from these wonderful nurses.
I will post the others that I made when I get them all done and photo'd.

Pumpkins
Can you believe that September is more than 1/2 over? Time has been flying by. Regina of Cutting Cafe challenged the design team to create a project using pumpkins from any of these files. I love anything fall related, so the only hard part of this challenge was to decide what file to use as I had so many ideas, but not time to make everything I would like to. I used two files that I have listed below my project.
Happy Halloween sentiment from 3 Halloween Treat Cup Cards
Pumpkin from Halloween and Fall Basic Shapes

Hearts for the NICU
It's "Anything Goes" this week for the Cutting Cafe challenge. My granddaughter entered this world 10 weeks early August 27th, weighing 1 lb .5 ou and measuring 13" long.
My daughter-in-law showed me a fabric heart with a poem that she received while there and asked if I could make a few more for her.
I used the heart from the Cutting Cafe's Heart Envelope Shaped Card Template and manipulated one of the hearts to the size I needed. The hearts need to be no smaller than 5.5" and no larger than 8". I decided to not only make some for her, but to make extra and donate them to the NICU unit where my sweet grandaughter is.
Here is the poem that goes with them:
Wear this cloth against your breast.
Near your heart and warm caress.
Place it close to your baby’s face
allowing your presence to fill the space.
Your baby will feel your love is near,
in scent and warmth when you cannot be here.
Allow the milk you so tenderly share,
to be the connection for you
and the one you hold dear

Cutting Cafe Typewriter
I chose to use Typewriter Shaped Card for my project this week for Cutting Cafe.
I didn't think I was going to get a post up this week. If you are reading this and you believe in prayer, please pray for our family, esp our oldest son, daughter-in-law and unborn baby girl. The pregnancy is a high-risk one and there are some hard things God is taking us through right now.
Thank you for stopping by and be sure to visit the Cutting Cafe Blog later today to see the design team's projects in which you can leave a comment to be entered into a drawing to win 3 FREE sets of your choice from the online store.

Christmas in July: Cocoa Pockets
This week's challenge is "Christmas in July" and we could use any file we wanted. I chose two: Christmas Pockets and Christmas Mini Words to create these fun cocoa pockets.
The Christmas Pockets comes with different sizes and cut out shapes. I chose the snowflake pocket as it was the perfect size without having to resize it for the cocoa packets I had on hand.
To create the same pocket with the candy cane and tree, I just removed the snowflake and added in the other shapes.
When it gets closer to the holidays, I will add some mini marshmallows and mints and/or candy canes or stir sticks.

Christmas Animals
This month is Christmas in July on Cutting Cafe. This week we were challenged to make a Christmas card using any of Cutting Cafe's shaped animals. I chose the elephant from the Elephant Shaped Card set. I know my card doesn't look very Christmas-y, but it needed to be pink for a very special baby girl's first Christmas.
