Tombow's Father’s Day Blog Hop

Welcome to Tombow's Father’s Day Blog Hop. On the Tombow blog starting yesterday and going through Friday, the Design Team is sharing creations for the special Father's in our lives.

Fathers deserve a break on their day of recognition and this image from Inky Antics is perfect for Father's Day.

I used Irojiten Dictionary Color Pencils and Gamsol and Mono Adhesive Permanent to adhere all the designer paper. Power Tabs were used to the corners of the stamped layers to allow for the bulk of the twill.

Head over to the Tomobw blog to comment and win this fun Father's Day inspired package.

OWH Memorial Day Blog Hop

The blog hop starts here: Operation Write Home. You will be able to see all the blogs of individuals and companies that are playing along. There will be tons of inspiration as well as tutorials and give-a-ways.

The challenge was to create a thank you card and to use one of OWH's sketches. I chose their bonus sketch #10 to create this card.

I used Tombow's Mono Adhesive Permanent to adhere the pieces and doodled around the stamped image with a permanent pen.

Tombow's May Challenge

It is time for Tombow's May Challenge. Melissa is our host this month and she has chosen this color challenge as well as using Foam Tabs. L♥VE these colors! I would love to redo our bedroom, bathroom and living room with these colors. Maybe the whole house. It DOES have green in the combo and anyone that knows me, knows I love green. *Ü*
Here are Melissa’s rules:“This week I have chosen a color challenge for us to use...with a little twist. The twist is to use Tombow Foam Tabs or Power Tabs to add a little lift to your project.  Although we would love for you to use Tombow's products, we WANT you to play along, so feel free to use whatever you have and upload a picture to the Inlinkz over on the Tombow Blog for a chance to win a Tombow prize pack.”

For my project, I created another mini notebook. I used a Power Tab behind the green flower and then stuck the heart stick pin through it.

BFB Gone South

Gone South by Meg Moseley (view her blog) is the latest book I've read from Blogging for Books.

Tish McCombs is drawn back to her roots in Noble, Alabama when she finds out that the McComb family home is for sale. When she gets there people start acting strange around her when they hear her last name. It doesn't get any better when they find out that she has taken in runaway Melanie Hamilton, who is from Noble, but kicked out of her home.

An antique dealer and his uncle are the only ones that befriend them. This book teaches why you shouldn't jump to conclusions, judge someone without walking in their shoes and not believe everything you hear and read about someone.

The Winnowing Season by Cindy Woodsmall

The Winnowing Season, Amish Vines and Orchards Series #2 -
        By: Cindy Woodsmall

I have read the second book in Cindy Woodsmall's Amish Vines and Orchards Series. I loved how the story continues and hated when I was done reading it and have to wait for the next book to come out!

In this book, Rhoda Byler, her fiancé, his brother and others move to Maine to start over as their orchard was damaged by a tornado. Rhoda becomes discouraged when her fiancé disappears for several weeks before showing up in Maine. Will his secret destroy their courtship? This book is filled with lots of surprises and I didn't want to put it down! Can't wait for the next book in the series!!

Inky Butterfly Box

I have another Inky Antics box/project to share with you today. So far this week, we have had spring like weather, so maybe the snow is behind us now. Just a week ago today we had snow!

I used Inky Antics X1-0021 Gift Bag Template and Trudy's 11156MC Swirly Butterfly set. I love using Mono Multi Liquid Glue to adhere boxes together. The images are colored with Irojiten Dictionary Colored Pencils and blended with Gamsol. I used the Mono Aqua Liquid Glue to add glitter to the butterflies.

Add lots of scallop borders and lacy tag and you have a fun springy gift box to fill with goodies for someone special.

Pinned It Made It Monday

I have several pins to share with you, but no pictures (insert sad face here). Two friends and I put on a "Ladies Night Out" once a month. We come up with a theme and then have food, devotion and games/activity.

I came up with pinwheels for April's theme and made all the food (I usually have help making food, but it worked out timing-wise for me to do it) and here are the links to the what I made. It makes me sad that I forgot my camera!! It was so much fun to make and the ladies loved it! We had about 35 ladies I believe.

Jello Pinwheels...I've been making these since Benjamin (almost 21) was very little. I got my recipe from a gal from MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), but the recipe is on Pinterest so sharing a photo from there. (click on "source" and it will take you to the pin)

Veggie Pinwheels

Cranberry Cream Cheese Pinwheels...definitely need to make these at Christmas.

Italian Pinwheels
Italian Pinwheels

BLT Pinwheels...these were the favorite

and for dessert, Angel food/strawberry pinwheel

I am linking this up to Country Girl at Home for her Pinned It Made It Monday challenge.
