Christmas Planner

Hello! It might seem strange to be creating a Christmas Planner in January, but as cold and wintry it is outside, it does seem fitting. I can fill this out and work on it throughout the year and be all ready for when Christmas 2019 comes around.

For my project I chose to create a Christmas Planner using the Holiday Planner Printable Set. I created the base of the planner with a pocket folder cut to size and then covered with designer paper.

The front of the Christmas Planner I used a  pre-colored Emma the Skating Elf image from FredSheSaid.

Be sure to visit the Cutting Cafe Blog later today to see the design team's projects in which you can leave a comment to be entered into a drawing to win 3 FREE sets of your choice from the online store.

Wheelbarrow Cards

I had several FredSheSaid colored images printed before our computer crashed and decided to get them made into cards. I have such a big scrap pile that I wanted to try and dwindle down, so have been challenging myself to make cards every day.

These cards use FSS's Pre-Colored Wheelbarrow images.

Tombow's Challenge: Books

This month's challenge is hosted by Jennie and the theme is books! Here is what Jennie said:

“Since September 6 is Read A Book Day and September 8 is International Literacy Day, I want to do a book related challenge. It could be a bookmark, use book paper, a quote from a book, etc.”

I love creating with book pages and am glad I have an excuse reason to do so again. Ü

Here is a quick and simple card using a page from an old book, This card uses a daisy from the PreColoured - Fall Flowers & Paper Pricking Template Sheet set from FredSheSaid. I used Tombow's Mono Adhesive Permanet for all my adhesive putting the card together.

As with all our challenges, there is a prize to be one to one person who plays along with us in our challenge. Be sure to stop by the Tombow blog for all the details.

We will NOT have voting this time, Tombow will select a winner at random. The Winner will be announced 9/24.

Blog Hop with Stacy Cohen

Today the Tombow DT is hopping with guest designer Stacy Cohen. I had time to look through some of her blog posts and you all are in for a real treat. If you have come from the Tombow Blog you are in the right spot.

A few weeks ago, I sent 107 cards to Operation Write Home for them to send to the troops. These are some of those cards I sent. I used Mono Adhesive Permanent to adhere the papers together and Power Tabs to pop up the image. The image is a pre-colored digital image from FredSheSaid called Emma and Rosey. It's fun to see how different the image looks with different papers and embellishments.

FSS Catch Up

I was thinking I had posted more FSS cards than I had this month. So now I am playing catch up.
Okay, I lied....I have another hydrangea card to share with you. I was working on Halloween projects and this lonely hydrangea image was mixed in right on top of this purple paper and I just HAD to create another hydrangea card! (I PROMISE the next projects are not with the hydrangeas. Sentiment is SU!

My next two cards use paper bags. The tutorial was on Whimsie Doodles awhile back. I loved the idea. You insert a gift card inside. I know I'm going to give one to dad because he likes to go to a coffee shop in town. I used precolored truck images from Fred She Said's Old Truck Digi and Colored Set.
I made mine different in that I decorated the inside top. I will stamp a sentiment there. I also did not score at the 6.5" mark. My paper bag must be a different size than hers. I scored at 1/2" and at 2.5" and then just folded in half from there.

Yellow Hydrangeas

Okay, I really need to use a different image and will, but here is one last hydrangea card from FredSheSaid.
I used up more scraps and punched a white scallop border as well as cut a scrolly Nestibilities die of white to go behind the image.

FSS Gratitude

Another card made with the precolored hydrangeas by FredSheSaid. The 'gratitude' sentiment and purple polka dot paper is from Designed2Delight's Autumn Mums' set and Fall Fun digi paper set.

FSS Fall Cards

Good Morning! I have a fall card to share with you using FredSheSaid precolored digital images.

I used a page out of an old Anne of Green Gables book. About killed me to tear a page out, but I have an even older edition, so it was silly for me to have two. PLUS I bought the book with the purpose to use it in my papercrafting.

This card uses a precolored image from the Hydrangea Bouquet set. I know Hydrangeas are more summer flowers, but I used fall papers and thought it went well together. Ü
I used more of the Anne of Green Gables page and some scraps I had. I really love how this one came together.

FSS Wheelbarrow

Each week (starting June 12) the FredSheSaid DT members get to choose a digi set to be on sale. This week is my turn and I chose their Wheelbarrow Digi and Precolored Set.

For my card I also used a precolored wheelbarrow and Polka Dotty Flowers (peachy2 and gold) for my accents.

If you like this set as much as I do, but sure to hop over to the FSS blog to see how you can get this set with a discount.

FSS Hugs.

I love this image called "I Love You This Much" from FredSheSaid. I remember doing this with the boys when they were little.
I am trying REALLY hard to not cut into any new paper and use my scraps. It's been fun as I am putting papers together that I never really would have otherwise.
I am sooooo excited!! I have been "sitting" on news for some time, but didn't want to share until it was more "real". Well, I now have hotel reservations, my plane ticket, and my form to get into CHA. YES!!!! You read that right! This country girl is going to the big city of Chicago!!

Old Truck Father's Day card

**Go here to enter for the Flag Day Blog Candy. You have until Friday nite to enter. I have goodies ready to add for when I hit 50 comments. Ü

Father's Day is Sunday and if you need to make some quick Father's Day cards, digi images and Tombow adhesive are the way to go. I am loving the precolored and uncolored Old Truck images from FredSheSaid.
For the front I used My Mind's Eye patterned paper. Since this is for a guy, I kept the design very simple. I used Tombow's Stamp Runner to adhere all the pieces together.

I've been seeing on blogs how gals are decorating the inside of the cards with a black and white image. So I just printed the uncolored truck image and stuck it inside. The sentiment is computer generated.
So....do you have your Father's Day cards done? I just have one more to make. Ü

FSS Hummingbird and Columbine set

I am really loving FredSheSaid's colored digis for making quick and easy card and gifts. Here I used up my scraps from my card to make a matching notepad.

I think I will be doing this more often as I have such a huge scrap pile of solid and patterned papers! These fun little notepads are quick and easy to make and are such nice little gifts to have on hand.

My card and notepad uses patterned paper scraps from this project, plus the green polka dot I've had in my scraps for a very long time. I used FSS's Purple Hummingbird and Columbine image and printed it to fit the card and notepad. That's the fun thing about digi images is that you can size them to fit your project. To accent both, I punched some tiny flowers and added pearls.

I used Tombow's Mono Adhesive Permanent for both projects.

FSS Gerbera Daisy in a Jar

One of my favorite flowers is a Gerbera Daisy. When I saw these colored images by FredSheSaid, I knew I had to create something with them. How fun would it be to receive a whole set of cards made with these designs?! Once again My Mind's Eye papers were perfect for this image!

When I was making this card, I commented to my artistic son that all my cards are starting to look alike...bottom 1/3, top 2/3, with knotted ribbon. He said "well change it up and do something different then" LOL! So I punched a hole in the image piece and tied a bow instead of the knot that I usually do.

When I was headed to take a picture he says "you aren't going to leave it like that are you? It needs something on the other side to balance it out". So, I came up with the idea to add this parenthesis element that I cut with my Cricut. I'm so glad he said something because I love how it turned out.
It's hard to tell in the picture, but I added brown glitter to the center of the flower and Crystal Effects to the jar.

I decided to use up the scraps I had from this card and make a matching notepad. I had printed off two images, so was able to use it on the notepad as well.

FSS Blog Hop

This is my first hop with FSS! I love FredSheSaid digital images and know you are going to be so inspired by all the lovelies from the Design Team. If you have come from Michelle's blog you are in the right spot. If not, you will want to go back to FSS's blog to collect your words along the way.

We have three sponsors joining us this hop...so our prize is larger than normal! Two of them will be joining our hop! Welcome ladies!

Prizes:
Bearly Mine Designs - £15 gift voucher
Pizzazz APlenty - prize package worth $15.00
Custom Creations from Carolivy- 3 digital downloads
$30 GC to FSS Store

Okay, on to my project.

My mom's birthday is coming up (June 1st) and I have several of these gift bags I've made without the design and was pleased to see that FSS's
Hummingbird & Columbine Pre-Coloured Set in blue matched perfectly!

My mom's favorite color is blue, so this was perfect. I am going to fill it with some of her favorite goodies from Bath & Body then take her out to eat.

I cut the image with a Nestibilities Die and adhered the top of the image to the flap of the bag. The bottom of the image closed the flap of the bag with a piece of velcro.

You are at the end of the hop. My word for you is alive! Now it's time to head back to FredSheSaid's blog to follow the directions for a chance to win the prize.

Friday June 3rd @ midnight EDT the blog hop will end.

Teacher Appreciation Week

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week and yesterday was Teacher Appreciation "Day". For those of you who don't know I am a para educator. I work with 9-12 grade and mostly behavior students. I made some cookies for the teachers whose rooms I work in and created this fun tag to attach to the bags. The image is a FredSheSaid image called "Apple for Teacher Digi Set".

I colored the tag with Tombow's Irojiten colored pencils and blended with Gamsol.
If you haven't already, please be sure to thank your teachers. My eyes were opened WIDE when I started working at the school. You have no idea what they go through some days (and sometimes LOTS of days).
