Patriotic Card in a Box

Hello and welcome to Cutting Cafe's new schedule and challenge for June. Cutting Cafe will now be showcasing the design team's projects on the 7th and 21st.

This week we were challenged to use Regina's Card in a Box file. With this file you not only get the card box file, but several images to use for whatever theme you would like. For my project, I chose the stars to go with a Patriotic theme.

I love all things red, white, and blue, and with the holidays coming up...Flag Day and 4th of July, this was a perfect choice for me. I think this little box would even be cute just sitting out on a shelf.

There are two sizes of boxes to work with and I chose the small box. There are a couple of changes I made along the way. I enlarged and decreased the star image so that I could layer 3 stars rather than 2 and I cut the flap pieces down so that the box part behind the flaps showed a bit more.

I added glitter around the stars for some sparkle and all the designer papers are from Fancy Pants Design's Nautical line. The kraft cardstock is from Michael's and the adhesives I used are from Tombow (Xtreme, Mono Aqua Liquid, Mono Adhesive Dots).

If you stop by the Cutting Cafe starting tomorrow and leave a comment, you will have a chance to win 3 of your favorite files!
