Cutting Cafe Pillow Boxes

Pillow Boxes are this week's challenge for the Cutting Café DT. I got a little creative with mine and created a little purse box. I used the small pillow box from Candy Corn Pillow Box Template. I deleted the corn candy cut out (we say corn candy here instead of candy corn Ü) and then deleted the dashed lines on one end before cutting my box.

I adhered the sides together first. From the un-dashed end, I punched an oval that is going to create a handle. To make sure that you get the punched out hole where you want it, first punch the oval from scrap and with removable adhesive, place it exactly where you want your punch out to be on your box.

Then line your punch up and punch out the oval thru both front and back of the box.

Decorate your box and fill with Halloween treats and goodies!
Thank you for stopping by and be sure to stop by the Cutting Café blog in the morning to see the lovely designs from the rest of the team.

**I am also linking this up for Paper Issues Halloween challenge.

  5. Hey, now that's clever! I don't have an oval punch, but I bet I could do the same thing with my Silhouette software, creating an oval shape. You've inspired me! I have to try it! Thanks so much for the great idea and I love your purse pillow box!
