This weekend Tombow is blog hopping with Walnut Hollow. I love Walnut Hollow's projects and chose their 6 x 6 Basswood Canvas. Oh how I wish I had a BUNCH of these! I love the 6 x 6 inch size. Perfect to create fun wall hangings (or they sit) for gifts. The background paper is My Mind's Eye and the rest are from various Fancy Pants Designs collections. I love that I can mix and match them.
My favorite "go to" adhesive for adhering paper to wood is Mono Aqua Liquid Glue. Using a foam brush, I completely covered the wood canvas with the Aqua Liquid Glue and then adhered the paper to it. I let it dry completely (very important) and then applied glue to the apple pieces and applied it to the newsprint paper. The apple was resized and cut from Cutting Cafe's Apple Treat Box file and the "seeds" were punched with a heart punch.
The sentiment was typed on MSWord and then cut out and all the squiggles were done with Tombow's Mono Twin Permanent Marker (It's on sale right now!!). To finish the canvas off, just apply a coat of Mono Aqua Liquid Glue over the whole thing and it is permanently sealed.
Now would you like to win some Tombow and Walnut Hollow? Below is a picture of what you can win. Be sure to hop on over Chris and Melissa's blogs today, check out their awesome projects and leave a comment.
Don't forget, this hop goes on all weekend and be sure to check out the following blogs on Saturday and Sunday. Have fun hopping!
