Happy New Year! I wish you all a very Happy, Healthy and Mojo-flowing New Year. Ü
Starting today and every Saturday on D2D's Card Ideas blog we are going to have challenges using Designed2Delight's images. I am the challenge coordinator and hope you will play along. There will also be prizes every week, so be sure to stop by Card Ideas and get inspired by what the DT has designed this week.
Where I live, it's freezing in January! There is usually snow on the ground and if it's good snowman making snow, the boys and I go out and make a snowman. This is our first "Image from the Attic" challenge. This challenge is to remind you of some of the wonderful older images Faith has in her store. We will be having a "Image from the Attic" challenge each month on the first Saturday. This week's challenge is to create any card/project using Primitive Snow Angel, Snow Angel, or Stitched Snowman.
I created two projects. This first project is a simple card using Stitched Snowman. The font I used is CK Ali.
here is the inside:
My second project is one I've been wanting to do with digi images for some time. I used Primitive Snow Angel. One of the things I love about digital stamping is that you can size the images to fit the project you are wanting to create.
Before I knew what rubberstamping was, I did alot of sewing, appliquing, etc, taking my goods to craft shows and selling in craft stores.
To create this project I printed it out on computer paper and then suing Wonder Under, traced the reverse image and ironed onto fabric. Then I cut it out and fused onto muslin. Using black embroidery floss I did the design work that Faith had on her image ("x's", stitching etc.). I had this black frame in my stash that was just perfect for this project.
I don't like how the black embroidery floss looks behind the muslin and think I will take it out and adhere to batting and stitch again. I needed to get this uploaded, so just pretend you can't see it. LOL!
love your little framed photo....looks grand! It is so primitive, so you! :)
