Another altered jar

This is a "thankful" jar. Two years ago, I started a new tradition. Starting the day after Thanksgiving, when we think of something that we are thankful for, we write it on a piece of paper, sign and date it and put it in a box I have sitting out at all times. Then on Thanksgiving, I take them out and read them. It is such a good reminder of all the things we remembered to be thankful for during the year. This will be our first Thanksgiving without g'ma and will be tough (she LOVED her pumpkin pie, so I bet Jesus is making her the biggest bestest pumpkin pie ever!). Anyway, it will be a bittersweet holiday as we read what we were thankful for this year.

So I made this jar (I like it better than my box) for us to continue the tradition. Cartridges used were Mini Monograms. Paper by Basic Grey and ribbon was from JoAnn Fabrics.

  2. Great site! You know, I think we might start this tradition, too. If I can get my family to agree to leaving the jar somewhere for a whole year. :D
I'm glad you came to enter for the blog candy; good luck! :) I hope you'll come back and visit often!
