Cookie Bag

It's my turn this month (along with other DT members) to share a Project of the Month (POTM) for Lizzie Anne Designs (you can see the other projects here).

Here is what I designed:

Handmade Cookie Bag

I love the glassine bags that I see people using a lot of and I didn’t have any or quick access to any, so decided to design my own. I wanted to make these with a pumpkin cookie inside to give as treats and didn’t want the cookie to stain the bag so lined it with wax paper.

Supplies: Happy Harvest Stamp set, Spooktackular Digi Paper pack, White and Rust cardstock, printer paper, wax paper, ribbon, buttons, crochet thread, Nestibilities Circle and Scallop Circle Dies, black ink, colored pencils, rust ink, glue or spray adhesive, Tacky Tape adhesive, scallop edged scissors

Directions:
1. Print Orange dots from Spooktackular digi paper pack on 8.5” x 11” printer paper (not cardstock).
2. Cut printed paper and wax paper 5.5” x 8.5”
3. Using glue or spray adhesive, glue wax paper to wrong side of patterned paper
4. Fold in thirds so that the edges overlap in the back
5. Apply Tacky Tape along one 5.5” edge and along 8.5” edge and adhere.
6. With scallop edged scissors round the top (I used a bowl to draw and then cut)
7. Stamp pumpkin from Happy Harvest in black ink on white cardstock and color.
8. Cut into a circle and sponge edges with rust ink.
9. Cut scallop circle with rust cardstock and sponge edges.
10. Tie ribbon around bag and knot in the front
11. Adhere pumpkin piece and buttons to the front.
12. Insert Iced Pumpkin Cookie (two will fit)
