Frugal Friday 3-21

Here are my savings from the last two weeks

*dried clothes on the line

* we don't have a Safeway close to us, but my oldest does, so whenever he is coming home, he always calls to see if I need anything. The past 2 weeks they had milk for $2.99/gal, Wishbone dressing for 99¢, and 32 oz bag of shredded cheese for $5, so I had him pick me up some. I always keep Italian dressing on hand to marinate chicken breasts in and then grill them.

* 10 lb chicken breast on sale for $1.98/lb

*bag of baby carrots for 69¢

*hot dogs for 59¢; normally wouldn't have bought these, but had my nephews over and they like them. Bought buns on sale for 99¢

*box of mac and cheese 50¢; again only bought for nephews as I prefer homemade mac and cheese

*earned $5 in swagbuck dollars

*downloaded free books onto my kindle from Amazon, Blogging for Books, and Bookbub

* 2+ lb pkg of boneless Pork Loin ribs for $1.99 regular price $4.20

*hung clothes on the line

*opened south porch doors in the afternoons when sun was shining to warm house, was able to turn heat clear down during the day

*large tube of Crest toothpaste for 99¢

*ordered a photo book thru Shutterfly with a coupon code and only had to pay shipping. This was my first time and can't believe how long it took. I have great respect for those that do this regularly.

  1. Wonderful frugal shopping!! You prob meant 32 oz of cheese, not 32 lb, but still a great deal! ;o (I know.....you started to type 2 lb, right? I do this all the time, too. Honestly, sometimes I have to go over my blog posts SIX times before I catch all my mistakes....and, even then, some slip through! Ack. ) I love reading abt the deals other people catch. Great job!!
