Favorite Cutting Cafe Project

The design team is showcasing their favorite project that they made this year for The Cutting Café. That was so hard to do as I had many. Last month's Mason Jar box was probably my all time favorite, but since I just posted that, I chose this project that I made in June.

As you can see, it was also made with the Mason Jar Shaped Card Template and Cutting File. Hmmm...wonder what one of my favorite designs to create with are? LOL

Christmas Mason Jars

It's all about Christmas this week for the Cutting Cafe Design Team. We got to choose any file from Regina's Christmas file section to create with. I chose to use the holly from Christmas Bag Toppers and then a non-Christmas file; the mason jar from Mason Jar Shaped Cards to create my projects.

I love how they turned out. I got the idea to make these boxes from Pinterest here. I made my own pattern for a box to go between two cut jars. Then I wrapped some gold twine around the top and tied off with a jingle bell.

Each box has a packet of hot cocoa mix, some mini marshmallows, chocolate macchiato candy cane, and I will also add a ghiradelli chocolate when I am able to get to the store. I think these turned out really cute and plan to make a few more for gifts.

Cozy Sister Shoebox Swap

Monica and her sister Carrie hosted another Sister Shoebox Swap and I was able to participate. I have loved doing these swaps and have missed them as they took a break for awhile.

This year my swap partner was Tamara and we couldn't have been more perfectly matched. We were both going through some really tough stuff this year and were really able to relate to each other. I forgot to take a picture of everything I sent her and she doesn't have any social media to post on. But I did take pics of what she sent me....

she even sent a burp rag for my DIL

Fun with Crates

The Cutting Cafe design team is sharing gift ideas with you this week using files from the Cutting Cafe. I chose to use the Fun with Crates Cutting File. Inside I inserted a box of candy and handmade dishcloth. Also behind the box that you can't see is some hot chocolate packets. I will add a candy cane to the box as well.

After cutting my crate box, I embossed it with a wood grain embossing folder and then distressed it with ink to look like wood.

Gobble Gobble

Scrapbook pages I made the NICU. The nurses will stamp the baby's foot and put in the middle of the "feathers" to be the body of the turkey. They will put the baby's name and date on the banner piece on the bottom of the scrapbook page.

Happy Thanksgiving Large Circle

We are creating with large word circles this week on the Cutting Cafe. I chose to create this 6 x 6 scrapbook page with my preemie granddaughter's feet, using Happy Thanksgiving Day Huge Circle Word printable file.

Halloween Scrapbook Pages for NICU

Back in September when I made THESE cute Teacup Mouse Kisses for the nurses in NICU, one of the nurses asked Kassy (my DIL) if I would be interested in making Halloween scrapbook pages for the doors of each NICU baby's room. I said yes and this turned into making Thanksgiving and Christmas ones as well. :)

The nurses are so good to the families in the NICU where my granddaughter is. On their own, they create scrapbook pages and take pictures of the babies and put them on the outside doors to their rooms. This is just one of MANY things they do to make something "normal"/special for the parents and babies.

I quick took these pics and then headed to see my granddaughter and kids and didn't view the pics first, so they aren't the best quality, but I have some friends who wanted to see what I created. I made 28 pages. If it says "babies", ghost footprints of multiples (twins or triplets) go on those pages and if it says "baby", footprints of one baby.

12 Halloween Loaded Bags

I shared one loaded bag HERE that I made for the nurses in the NICU where my granddaughter has been since her birth. Here are the rest of them that I made. I made these up and took them to the NICU for my DIL to pass out to her favorite nurses as a thank you for all that they have done for my granddaughter and my kids. I have a new and deep appreciation for these nurses and the care that they give to these precious little ones born early.
