In The Dawn of Christmas by Cindy Woodsmall, Sadie has been gone from home on a mission trip in Peru with her family's blessing because of a broken relationship. Her family decides it is time for her to come home, but she is not ready to settle down. She has a lot of trust issues and then she meets Levi, who too has major trust issues and they become friends.
Their families each are trying to get them to find a spouse and settle down, so they decide to be friends and try to fool their families. But as time passes, they find out that they truly do care about each other.
