Pinned It Made It Monday

I missed last week as I was busy working cherries.
I don't remember how many bags I froze. I also cooked some up with 1.5 cups of sugar and 1.5 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 20 minutes. Ran through my Ninja and then added 1/4 cup to a glass of crushed ice and filled the rest of the way with 7-up. Very refreshing and yummy!

I also tried this recipe called Spicy Sausage Pasta. Mine doesn't really look like the picture, but it was very good. I used mild Rotel. I can't believe how good the turkey sausage is! This is better as leftovers too.

I am linking this up to Country Girl at Home for her Pinned It Made It Monday challenge.

Feel Better Soon

Have you ever gotten a summer cold? I think those may be the worse. Here is a cute little box that you can tuck one of the soup pkts into to give a friend who is under the weather.

The Inky Antic image is colored with Irojiten Color Dictionary Pencils  and adhered to the box with Mono Adhesive Permanent. I like to glue the box together with Mono Multi Liquid Glue.

Here is hoping you all are feeling well this summer!

BFB Faking Grace

*If you are here for the Tombow/Jennifer McGuire hop go HERE
**If you are looking for the Rowlux Illusion hop go HERE

I received Faking Grace by Tamara Leigh from Blogging for Books this time and it was such a fun read!

Maizy Grace (love that name) has a dream of being an investigative journalist. She lost her last job because her compassion got in the way and her boss was upset at the loss of a juicy story.

She now has 2 jobs...one at a Nashville newspaper and the other at Steeple Side Christian Resources. She just has to dig up dirt at Steeple side while pretending to be a Christian from a resource she has called "Five-Step Program to Authentic Christian Faith". (which really should read how NOT to be a Christian! LOL)

This book is full of antics that will make you laugh as on her journey of "faking grace", she actually finds it. If you would like a sneak peek, you can read chapter one here.

I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review.

Blog Hop with Jennifer McGuire

**This is my second post today. Be sure to scroll down for the Rowlux® Illusion Film blog hop.

This week Tombow is hopping with Jennifer McGuire. I have a super fun project to share with you today.

First I saw this youtube tutorial on Pinterest and that led me to this fun youtube tutorial on a mini coin envelope album and I had to give it a try. I had some coin envelopes a bit bigger than Mary, but it still turned out pretty cute. I can't imagine making one even smaller.

I used Mono Adhesive Permanent, Mono Multi Liquid Glue, and Fastener Tabs on my mini album.

Front

Here the top on the front opens up to reveal a pocket

You can add 4 pictures or pictures and journaling to the pull out from the pocket. Because of the bulk the pull out makes, I cut a Fastener Tab in half the long way to close the flap.

Here is the pull out tag from the coin envelope opening.

Flipped to the back, it is created the same way as the front.

This is what it looks like opened. The left is a place to add a photo and the right has a trifold that opens up.

Picture of the right side with the stripe panel above opened to the left.

And then here with the music panel shown above opened to the right.

Here is a full photo with the trifold opened clear up.

Please be sure and “Like” both TombowUSA & Jennifer McGuire Ink to be entered for the drawing.

The more you comment, the more chances you have to win!
Now, head on over to Melissa's blog for more Monday inspiration.

Rowlux® Illusion Film Designer Blog Hop

I received some samples of Rowlux® Illusion Film to try out and be a part of a hop using this new product.

For my project I punched a butterfly and scallop circle with the Rowlux® Illusion Film . This stuff is tougher than you think and do NOT advise using a punch. Diecutting would have been much better.

Then I embossed the butterfly. Here you can see the one on the left is the one embossed.

I created a mini notepad holder and adhered the butterfly and scallop circle with Tombow's Mono Adhesive Clear. I adhered the adhesive over the whole butterfly. You cannot see the adhesive through this product at all! So cool!

How would you like to win some Tombow adhesive? Tombow is offering this prize
Just comment here on my blog. You must leave a way for me to contact you (do not comment as anonymous. You have until Wednesday to leave a comment and I will draw a name Thursday morning. If I don't hear from the winner by Saturday morning, I will draw again.

Blog Hop with Stacy Cohen

Today the Tombow DT is hopping with guest designer Stacy Cohen. I had time to look through some of her blog posts and you all are in for a real treat. If you have come from the Tombow Blog you are in the right spot.

A few weeks ago, I sent 107 cards to Operation Write Home for them to send to the troops. These are some of those cards I sent. I used Mono Adhesive Permanent to adhere the papers together and Power Tabs to pop up the image. The image is a pre-colored digital image from FredSheSaid called Emma and Rosey. It's fun to see how different the image looks with different papers and embellishments.

The first one is this fun layered jello.

I also made these no bake bars that were also very popular.

Independence Day Blogskip

Happy Independence Day! Today, Tombow is blog "skipping" with  Operation Write Home. If you have just come from Jan@Simply Handrafted's blog, you are in the right place. If not, be sure to start at the beginning HERE.

I used OWH's sketch #171 for my card.
171

I used Tombow's Mono Adhesive Permanent to adhere the designer paper strips to the card base. The start was cut with my Cricut. I cut 3 of scrap cardstock and one of designer paper and adhered them all together with Mono Adhesive Dots. "Thank you" in stamped on the star. After tying the jute around the star I adhered it to the card front.
