May Arts Nautical Challenge

Today I have a couple of fun projects to share with you that I created for a Nautical Themed Party for May Arts' Nautical Challenge.
101_2736 (900x675)
The first is the plastic cutlery holder made with an altered envelope. I glued the envelope shut and then cut with a scallop punch. It is decorated with digi stamp images from Birdie Brown and colored with Dual Brush Pens. The twine is from May Arts.
101_2738 (675x900)
The lighthouse is popped up with Foam Tabs. 101_2737 (900x675)
I also created an altered candle using Mono Adhesive Power Bond and Mono Adhesive Dots for a favor.  101_2739 (900x675)
All the ribbon is from May Arts. I use the Power Bond adhesive for the ribbon around the lid edge. The anchor and scallop were cut with my Silhouette and Nestiblilities die.

Pinned It Made It Monday

** this is my second post today, you can scroll down to see our storm pictures

For the next few Monday's I will probably be sharing crockpot/grilling/non oven Pinterest recipes. The element in our oven burnt out and we have been needing a new stove for a long time, so decided to wait until we could go get one than to replace the element. I have a toaster oven that I've been having some fun playing with as well.

Last week I tried this Crockpot Chex Mix recipe and it worked great. The only thing is the timing was way to long, as some burnt on the bottom during the last 30 minutes, so next time I will cut the time down to 2 hours, instead of 2.5 as the recipe called for.

Storm!

Friday nite we had strong winds. I'm thinking due to some of the damage it was more like tornadic winds.

Busted out window...Aaron's room

This is the other window busted out of Aaron's room. Glass everywhere inside and found glass clear over by the barn.

Trees down and large limbs on the garden

All of these pictures are just from our yard. We do have a large yard and the damage was great from all the trees.

This is the fence by the barn front, I didn't get a picture from the back...it is down.

Piece of tree broke off from just a few feet away and went thru the garage roof.

this is only a small part of the damage to the siding. We keep seeing more with bigger holes than this.

I snuck this picture in as I had taken this Thursday nite around 7 pm...

After the storm hit around 10:30 pm, this is what it looks like now...

We also had 5 whole trees uprooted on the east side of the barn in our little pasture as well as lots of trees busted up, fences down and damage we may not have even seen yet.

Tombow Hopping with Trixie Hulm

Welcome to another Tombow blog hop! This week we are hopping with guest designer Trixie Hulm.

For my project today, I am sharing a "reject" card. "Reject", because I entered this in a contest and it wasn't picked up. I still like it and want to share it with you all.

The image is a digital image from Doodle Pantry called Hotrod Pickup. I colored the image with Tombow's Mono Drawing Pencil 6B and then I blended using a blending stump. I used Mono Adhesive Permanent to layer all the pieces together.

Background designer paper is by Fancy Pants and the photo corner and paper behind the sentiment is by Imaginisce. The sentiment is computer generated.

Pinned It Made It Monday

Today I am sharing a no bake cookie recipe that I got off of Pinterest.

I have made no bakes before, but not with coconut. I really liked the different flavor the coconut gave this recipe.

Summer isn't a Bummer Blog Hop

NOTE: I typed the wrong date in. You have until this Friday to win my project listed below. Sorry about that!!  Also, you MUST leave an e-mail or link for me to contact you if your name is drawn.

Welcome to the Imaginisce/ Tombow “Summer isn’t a Bummer” Blog hop.  Tombow is also hopping with guest designer Michelle Criswell

This week, Imaginisce and Tombow have teamed up to get you in the summer spirit. Both design teams are excited to show you just what we have done with the Hot Rocks as well as Endless Summer and Outdoor Adventure collections from Imaginisce, and Tombow's Dual Brush Pen Markers and amazing adhesive products.

If you have come here from Tombow's Blog, then you're on track. If not, be sure to go back and start today's leg of the hop from there.

For my project to share, I have created this fun paper bag album with Imaginisce's kit Outdoor Adventure and Tombow's Mono Adhesive Permanent & Mono Glue Stick.

I'm not much of a summer outdoors person, so I had to really put on my thinking cap to come up with a project to show off all the lovely papers and coordinating stickers I received. I loved how this album turned out! Who knows, maybe I will become a camper some day. LOL!!

I only added adhesive to the outside & bottom edge of the boot prints so you can tuck a photo in.

Forgot to take a picture of the pull outs separately. There is room on the front and back to add pictures and/or journaling.

Again, only adhesive on the outside and bottom edge of s'more die cut.

I really like how this album turned out and would love to send it to one lucky person who comments on my blog. You have until midnight Friday June 14th to comment. I will choose a name on Saturday and contact you. You MUST leave a name or link to your e-mail so that I can contact you.
**NOTE: this is separate from the Tombow/Imaginisce prizes

Be sure to visit all the projects featured this week and leave a comment for your chance to win!  You also must like both Imaginisce and Tombow on Facebook.

Imaginisce will be giving a fun prize  (collection pack of Outdoor Adventure) AND one lucky winner will win an amazing package of Tombow products including Dual Brush Pen Set, 10 Jellybean, MONO Adhesive Dots Value Pack of 3 applicators, and Power Adhesive Tabs.

The more you comment, the more chances you have to win! Now, head on over to Adora's blog to see what kind of spring craftiness she has created!
Here is a list of blogs for today's part of the hop in case you get lost along the way.
