new feature

Ok, I'm really slow when it comes to blogging! There is a new feature I have added. You can sign up for e-mail subscription. You will get a message via e-mail whenever I post here.

Update on Aaron. I have rec'd e-mails asking about him. He is doing much better. Still coughs alot and that could last quite awhile as it can take 6 months to get all the pneumonia from the lungs. Today is important to him as we are letting him get up and move around quite abit. He is tired of laying around in front of the humidifier. Shhhhh don't tell him, but he will also be doing some school. Ü

Benjamin's track meet was cancelled Saturday due to lightening. In a way I was relieved as I had so much I needed to do here at home. But also disappointed as I am looking forward to seeing him run.

MIA

I haven't been on line much the last couple of days and won't be for the next few days. The flu bug hit our home and Aaron has walking pneumonia. He has pneumonia in both lungs. Since there wasn't fluid around the lungs and his temp and oxygen were good, we got to come home.
Benjamin has his first track meet tomorrow and I am trying to get ready for my crop next weekend.
I hope to post again soon.

Last post of Valentine projects

Here is a project I made using the Valentine papers and stickers. It is a wallet and I used a pattern that someone sent me to make it. This is what it looks like closed.

Here it is opened

more Valentine projects

more Valentine cards...some of these cards and the ones in the post below can be used for more than Valentines Day. Ü

Valentine projects

Ok, I know it's past Valentine's Day, but here are some projects I made using the products from the new LSS. I have been busy making them samples for their store. I love the giraffe one! This background paper reminded me so much of giraffes that I just had to stamp a giraffe for the card. Ü

St. Paddy nuggets

Sorry I haven't been on lately! Benjamin had spring break Wed thru Monday last week so didn't get to be on line as much, plus had lots to do with him home.

This is what I've been working on. I made 75 of these nugget purses for the Sr. Center here. I saw the idea on SCS by Dawn. I am working on getting the kits done for the scrapbook page I am teaching at the new LSS Saturday. It is at the store, but I will get a picture of it and post Saturday or later.

DCWV set 5

Here are three more that I made using from SCS sketch
challenges:

This last one is made using up the scraps I had left over (yes that means we are nearing the end of the DCWV cards Ü)I have one more day's worth of card fodder from this kit and it's all with scraps, so stay tuned til tomorrow.

DCWV set 4

Are you getting tired of these yet? I still have a few more to show then I will move onto something different.

These cards were all done using SCS sketch challenges. Those challenges are so handy when you draw a blank. I have them printed off and I just looked at the challenges and compared them to the pieces I had (from stickers to scrap patterned paper pieces) and was able to come up with some fun and simple cards. I can hardly make a card without my brown inkpad and sponge. Ü

DCWV set two

Here are the second set of cards that I made with the Diecuts With a View card kit...The kit is the 'thank you' kit. I bought the kit, a pkg of silk flowers, brads and two pkgs of ribbon to complete about 26 cards.

This Happy Birthday card was made using the sheet of alphabets that came with the card kit. I still have alphabet stickers left over that I can use on other cards or for scrapbooking.

These two cards were made using the reverse pieces that I had cut apart from the kit.

DCWV

There is a new scrapbook store in my area now. WOOHOO!!! Only 30 miles away vs. 90ish.They carry these DCWV (Diecuts With a View) card kits and asked if I would teach a class on them. (I am also teaching a scrapbook class on the 17th Ü). Anyway I wanted to see how many cards I could get from the kit. We will only be making 10 and then they can take the rest home to do as they wish. The cards are 5.5 x 5.5. I made a few that size and then decided to cut the rest down, so that they would fit in a card sized envelope and to give them another option.I can't figure out how to add a gallery to the side, so will post them all here.
I love this blue and brown one. It was made with scraps. I sponged the edges with brown ink and added a flower and brad.

These two cards were also made with scraps I had left over. Also used that cameo vintage ribbon.

This card is another one of my favorites. The circles came from cutting around the color that extended from the circle tabs. I then adhered them to the cardstock for a background.

Cameo Petals

Remember my challenge to myself to get all the Spring Showers and Spring Flowers used up? Well, I'm still working on it. This is a card that I made for a swap (10 + 1, so made 12-an extra one for me). The swap had to be all SU!, so the others don't have the coral and yellow ribbon, just the green. The scan makes the ribbon and flowers look pink, but they are actually cameo coral colored. The coral ribbon is some vintage ribbon that I picked up at a second hand store. There are lots of yards to it and this is the first time I've used it. I also got a few cards of rick rack, all for 25 cents! Ok, back to the card...I stamped the flowers by coloring the stamp with markers. The stems are drawn in with a marker so that they go the way I want them to. I then sponged the edges with brown ink and using my air art gun, spritzed with carmel ink. It still needed something, so I pierced the corners.
